This year, a Presidential work of art will hang from Christmas trees around the world, in the form of a George W. Bush Presidential Center commemorative Christmas ornament. The ornament, available exclusively at the Bush Center’s Museum store, features an image of a cardinal originally painted for Ambassador Warren Tichenor by President George W. Bush.
“I painted a cardinal for a friend of ours, and Laura liked the bright red on the cardinal and the greens of the foliage,” said President George W. Bush. “She chose my painting – for which I'm grateful – to become the Christmas card and ornament.”
The three dimensional metal ornament, reminiscent of the White House Historical Association ornaments, is the first commemorative Bush Center Christmas ornament to be released and is a limited edition. It is available in green or red packaging, and retails in the Museum Store at the Bush Center or online for $29.98.
