A year ago, Malala Yousafzai was shot by a Taliban terrorist because she had spoken out about her desire to go to school.  Rather than be intimated by this act of terror, she turned the world’s attention to a positive message about a girl’s right to an education.

Today she tells her story to everyone in her book, “I am Malala.”

Malala refuses to be silent.  We owe it to her courage and sacrifice to ensure that the right to an education is secured for women and girls everywhere.
