Laura and I are saddened by the passing of Colonel Michael Endres, USA, (ret.), director of the Military Service Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute. A decorated 26-year veteran of the United States Army, Colonel Endres served his country with honor and distinction. He continued to serve his fellow men and women in uniform through his work at the Bush Institute. It was a privilege to know him. I was impressed by his love of family and country, his integrity and enthusiasm, and his commitment to the cause of freedom. He was an important member of our team and a friend who will be dearly missed. Laura and I join our colleagues at the Bush Center in sending our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his wife Cheryl, his daughter Taylor, and their family.
