President and Mrs. Bush sat down with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show this week to discuss a variety of topics and to congratulate Leno for hosting the late-night show for more than two decades.

President Bush talked about life in Dallas, his family and his artwork. He even unveiled a special surprise for Leno – a portrait of the late-night talk show host. 

President and Mrs. Bush discussed the work of the Bush Institute, highlighting the Warrior Open to honor our Nation’s vets, as well as the Global Health initiative’s Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon program to save lives in sub-Saharan Africa. Mrs. Bush mentioned her recent trip to Washington, D.C. where she voiced support for Afghan women and discussed the importance of ensuring gains for women and girls in Afghanistan are maintained.
