Tomorrow, the George W. Bush Institute will honor America's immigrant heritage with an official immigration naturalization ceremony and a half-day event, “What Immigrants Contribute: A Special Event on Immigration, Texas and Economic Growth.”

Before America's newest citizens take the oath of allegiance to the United States and receive their certifications of naturalization, President Bush will deliver brief remarks welcoming them as citizens and noting the important contributions of immigrants to our society and economy.

Three moderated panel discussions will follow the ceremony to spotlight how immigrants drive growth in the Texas economy, why naturalization matters to the economy, and how immigrants serve America. Immigrants have helped build the country we have become, and they can help build a dynamic tomorrow.

The event begins at 8:00 a.m. CDT. Watch live at www.bushcenter.org/live and follow the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.

Also be sure to check out "Growth and Immigration: A Handbook of Vital Immigration and Economic Growth Statistics," by Matthew Denhart, which provides an overview of the current immigrant presence in America. In the handbook, Denhart illuminates many of the benefits immigrants provide to our nation, addresses some common arguments against immigration, and shows how increasing the share of immigrants in the U.S. would benefit citizens and lead to faster economic growth. In this moment of opportunity, "Growth and Immigration" provides the vital facts and figures required for reasoned political discourse and genuine bipartisan solutions.
