I’m delighted to welcome Secretary Spellings to the Bush Center and look forward to once again collaborating with her. She exemplified strong, principled leadership as U.S. Secretary of Education and White House Domestic Policy Advisor, and her appointment marks a new stage of development for the Bush Center’s policy arm, the Bush Institute. Margaret’s management experience and policy expertise will be an enormous asset to us. We welcome Margaret back home to Texas and look forward to working with her to continue advancing freedom and expanding opportunities for individuals at home and across the globe.
