Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge

The 2013 W100K is pleased to highlight the significant contributions of organizations that support our nation’s heroes and their families while they are gone and when they return home. One of the 2013 Warrior Support organizations is the Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge.

The motto of the Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge is Vulneror non Vincor  – “Wounded, not Conquered.”  This non-profit charitable organization is led by other Combat Wounded veterans who seek to improve the lives of wounded and injured veterans through rehabilitative high-adventure and therapeutic outdoor challenges while furthering the physiological, biomedical and pathological sciences associated with their injuries. Challenge expeditions are physically and psychologically demanding alpine and wilderness efforts that are designed to address veterans’ specific injuries or conditions. The Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge program aspires to lead medical research and advances in the quality and functionality of prosthetics and orthotics as well as long-term treatment and rehabilitation for Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress.
