Matt Springer, the Bush Institute’s most recently appointed Fellow, is presenting the results of Vanderbilt University’s three-year study of the real-life effectiveness of performance pay for teachers. According to Vanderbilt’s press release, the event “will present the findings of the Project on Incentives in Teaching, or POINT, a three-year experiment conducted in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools that studied the effect of teacher pay bonuses on student performance.
