Special Exhibit - Deck the Halls and Welcome All: Christmas at the White House 2006

Exhibit

November 15, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Traditional and elegant decorations adorned the White House in 2006. Sparkling decorations reflected the joys of the season and recalled historic holiday memories at the White House.  Garlands with brightly colored glass ornaments cascaded over doorways on the State Floor, and snowy greens, spiral topiaries and red ribbons decorated rooms throughout the White House. The color schemes of scarlet, crimson and fuchsia boldly accented the traditional touches of the holiday decorations.  The official White House Christmas tree twinkled with crystals, snow, and ornaments of iridescent glass.

Deck the Halls and Welcome All: Christmas at the White House 2006 allows visitors a glimpse into the magical White House holiday celebrations of 2006.  The exhibit will be adorned with recreations and decorations of the Christmas White House holiday, behind-the-scenes photos, and a replica of the Blue Room White House Christmas tree.
