President Bush will deliver remarks at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville and host a 9/11 documentary screening with Mrs. Bush at the Bush Center in Dallas.
DALLAS, TEXAS – President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush will visit the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday morning, September 11, 2021. President Bush will deliver remarks commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Due to COVID-19, the observance ceremony will be closed to the public, but available for families of Flight 93 and a limited number of invited guests.
Members of the public and media are encouraged to take advantage of the live stream available on the Flight 93 National Memorial Facebook Page starting at 9:45 a.m. EDT. Members of the media may also choose to request credentials (required) to attend in person.

Later that evening, President and Mrs. Bush will host a screening of “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room,” a new documentary from Apple and BBC, at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Texas. President Bush will deliver brief introductory remarks at the event, the latest in our series Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by Highland Capital Management.
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result within 48 hours of the event date will be required for attendance. Specific instructions and media logistics will be communicated to registered attendees closer to the event date. Masks will also be required for attendance.
