24 warriors including Medal of Honor recipient to participate in golf tournament hosted by President George W. Bush
DALLAS, TX — On May 5 and 6, 2019, the George W. Bush Institute will host the 2019 Warrior Open, presented by AT&T, a competitive golf tournament that honors post-9/11 U.S. service members seriously wounded or injured since September 11, 2001. The tournament will take place just before the Salesmanship Club of Dallas’s AT&T Byron Nelson PGA TOUR event held May 8-12 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.
The first day of play, Sunday, May 5, will include an Opening Ceremony with remarks by President Bush and an 18-hole competition for the 24 warriors selected for this year’s tournament. The second day, Monday, May 6, will be an 18-hole Pro-Am, including PGA TOUR professionals and the warriors. Both days will be open to media coverage.
Media must receive appropriate credentials to cover either day or both. Media should apply for credentials at http://www.bushcenter.org/newsroom/credentialing-and-coverage by Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 5PM CST. Follow-up instructions, including parking and security sweep arrival time and information, will be sent to credentialed media when registration is closed.
