Jeffrey R. Palenske
Staff Sergeant Jeff Palenske is a 16-year United States Army veteran who served as a paratrooper and trained as a combat lifesaver. Some of his other specialties include special operations, infantry, psychological operation and intelligence analyst.
In 2004, Staff Sergeant Palenske served as a Special Operations Team Sergeant in Iraq. He was in the battles of Sader City, Karbala and Najaf, and was also stationed in the area known as the triangle of death where he was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) eight times.
While in Iraq, Staff Sergeant Palenske served with many other U.S. units and foreign troops. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Army Commendation Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation for his service in Iraq.
