Women’s Initiative Fellowship Program Fellow Sara Galal was recently mentioned in a series of articles on emerging women entrepreneurs in the Middle East: “New mother from Alexandria, Sara Galal, thought the Internet offered great ways for parents and kids to have fun and work on behaviors and rewards, and is about to launch in Sweety Heaven.” The third article in the series by PandoDaily.com has a more in depth account of Sara’s story, a success story we previously highlighted on this blog: “Sara speaks for many women – in the region, and around the world: ‘Believe me, being a woman entrepreneur is very hard. It is an unusually challenging thing for a woman to balance between taking care of home, husband, a child, and even work outside – so many entrepreneurs cannot simply quit their ‘day jobs’ for financial reason. But if you want to ask why we do this is becausewe have no choice. I won’t be able to make my family happy, if I am not happy. And in my startup I have found a great happiness. In using platforms like ours, women can feel connected, and maybe have more time for them and possibly create and build their own ideas.'” Sara’s business, Sweety Heaven, is now up and running.
